Agora Trilogy
Along with Ender's Game, I am currently reading a series by David Whitley called the Agora Trilogy.
I have finished the first book, The Midnight Charter, and am currently reading the second, Children of the Lost. So far I am very pleased with Whitley's ability as an author to suck you into the story. He makes you feel as the characters do.
The third book is (as of yet) unreleased, from what I can tell (or maybe I just overlooked it).

Re: Agora Trilogy
The Concept section on wikipedia can explain it better than I can haha. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Midnight_Charter#Concept
Just don't read too much of the Plot because that has spoilers.
